jonny We do not have a beat at Bangor on Dee. Thats either BODSA or PASS. We have a beat down at IS Y COED called Park Farm I have never fished it but at the moment after the floods there is a lot of bank erosion and the banks are quite steep to vertical and it looked quite deep in the middle and the opposite bank had trees down in the flow so only the middle is fishable. 13ft match rod and big ledger If you go let us know Harry

Have fished Park Farm quite a few times . Mostly spin and bait water but have fished a few spots with a salmon fly rod . Be careful the bank can be very slippery and the water is generally uninviting looking . Lost a Salmon down there in 2009...lots of snags!!! and nearly as many poachers as cormorants....you can probably tell I don't like it much (unless I want to catch a pike or chub) , nearly as many of them as there are cormorants ....tight lines.

I managed to find a couple of hours on saturday morning to get down to Is-y=Coed. Interesting stretch of water, but hard to work out where the fish may be lying. The water was cold on saturday (just over 40F), and with the big tides at the moment I was hoping a springer would hold up in these lower stretches until the water warms up a tad. Not sure if i'd hurry back, although I reckon with a bit of experience it could be productive. Madmick's post sums it up quite well. Plenty of wildlife and birdlife too, great to see the kingfisher there. It's easy to find, thanks to the CADAC signs on gates. Defo worth a crack. Some photos below, in case any one is interested. Lovely to be out again - the season has now finally started for me. Cheers Jonny
