I have spent the day assisting Gwilym Hughes on a Trout and Grayling course. It continues tomorrow and as we left the 4 guys to their own devices for the last hour they had caught around 70 fish (not including the sprats). We were fishing the water between the two CADAC Crogen Beats. They were a good mixture of Trout and Grayling and the vast majority fell to the dries although a couple of decent fish came to the nymph. Two dry patterns were responsible for the catches.....the Sunfly and Cul de Canon. I will post photos of the patterns at a later date. We're out again tomorrow and I'll keep you posted but needless to say the river is in fine form Happy Days Chainman

The course was a great success and the final count was 82 fish for the two days. The Dee can be a little tempremental at thus time of year, but doing the right thing in the right place at the right time never fails to produce results.
