Hi Mick
1.5lb sea trout from Berwyn yesterday, it should have been larger but Chainman keeps catching all the bigger ones! ;D
Cheers

Hi Mick
Don't know where you're up to with the catch return quest but an 8lb fish was taken earlier this week in Chain. It was taken on a worm and kept.
A fish was taken in Taylors yesterday.......the scales on the table gave it away - they weren't there on Thursday night and it was a very fresh fish judging by the colour and amount of them.
A couple from the Stoke on Trent area also had a fish at around 5.30am on Chain.....it was also caught on a worm and kept - not sure of the weight.
Mick, it would be useful if you could publish the returns on here on a weekly basis. Not only will it give members a feel for what's happening it can also be cross referenced to ensure that we have an accurate record.

Hi Chainman , thanks for your 'clues'....the last Salmon reported to me was for the 10/07/11....nothing about any of the ones you allude too . Last Sea Trout other than that by yourself and 'birkinqc' was on 0/07/11 . this would have brought the total Salmon either reported or seen landed by reliable witnesses but not reported by the captor to 18 fish . My guess is that this would be a false figure particularly in light of your entry of yesterday . Signs are being made asking people to report migratory fish to me , to be put in our fishing huts and on the tree at the Chain . Sadly it appear that some people who know who to report fish to are just not doing so...annoying is it not !

Hi Mick
It will be difficult this year for obvious reasons but if you report them on here then at least it lets me know what records you've had and I can add accordingly.
Moving forward for next year we will have to issue mandatory notices with each permit........failure to report cannot be tolerated or excused.

Part of the problem is only 71 out of nearly 500 members are registered on the forum. As to the number of members who do not have Tinternet will only compound the problem we have at the moment.

Yes , hopefully the signs should help , the only person with a list of members is currently unwell and so writing to members is impossible....I guess we will muddle through this season . Not sure how accurate previous seasons records have been ? Members need to give thought to releasing fish if we are to match last seasons release record .
